MINISTRY TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS & EXPATRIATES (people outside their passport country) living in Quito.

EXPAT is about relationships and the impact of making ourselves available as instruments of God’s love and grace. A high school student made the following comment about our work: “I can’t begin to count the many ways that God has used you to bless me and encourage me. Your passion for people amazes me. I can see God so clearly in your life. Thanks for spending time with me and caring for me.”

  • ALLIANCE ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL
    AAI is an international Christian school in Quito, where members of the Youth World team serve as campus chaplains, leading weekly chapels for middle school and high school students; planning and directing Spiritual Emphasis Week each semester; leading and directing (chapel) worship teams, meeting one-on-one with students, leading small groups, building relationships with students through coaching, hanging out on campus, teaching, pastoral counseling and being class sponsors (to name a few ways). Our staff is available to students every (school) day of the week in the Chaplain’s office.

  • SMALL-GROUP DISCIPLESHIP
    We have more than 50 students involved in a small groups this year. We’ve had some great times together and watched God stretch and challenge many students in their walk with Him.
  • SEMINARS
    We have a growing relationship with the administration and with that comes opportunities. We were asked to develop practical life-issue seminars for 2 different half-days at Alliance Academy. Each semester we have the opportunity to lead/teach seminars on real-life issues like “learning to share your faith”, “Becoming a wild woman of God”, “Wild at heart (guys only)”, “Dealing with the pressures of pornography, “How to manage your finances ”, and finding freedom form strongholds”. These half-day seminars have been a great opportunity to connect and speak truth into students lives.
  • SUMMER CAMP
    We partner with English Fellowship Church Youth Ministry and assist them in planning and leading summer camps for English-speaking middle school and high school students here in Ecuador. These camps take place at the beach, on the Pacific coast of Ecuador, and at El Refugio, Youth World’s retreat and training center outside of Quito.

  • YOUTH MINISTRY
    We reach out to English speaking students each summer with opportunities for camp, youth group activities, Bible Studies, and discipleship.
  • ENGLISH CHURCH MINISTRY
    We provide youth ministry consulting and resources to the main English speaking Church, English Fellowship Church in Quito. One of our Youth World missionaries is the Youth Pastor on staff at EFC.
  • INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS
    Doors are beginning to open with other international (public) schools in Quito. Our desire is to build relationships and trust with administration, staff and students. We have been given the opportunity to facilitate seminars on becoming global citizens (caring for & serving the people around us). This is an exciting area of ministry that is largely untouched.
  • MISSIONS ORGANIZATIONS
    We are available to a number of missions organizations to help with crisis situations & preventative care for students. Through training, resources & consulting, we want to help organizations care for their students & families.
