The purpose of
this gathering was simple:
The time together
was incredible! Not only were we able to meet & strategize, but we
spent time together, we prayed for each other, we served together, and
we left our time with a new group of great friends & partners in ministry.
Some highlights
of our time together:
- Washing hair &
handing out food at the Quito city dump
- Sharing meals together
in homes & in Quito
- Sharing our own
personal journeys & struggles, & praying for each
person individually.
- Creating a list
of "non-negotiable" qualities of International Youth Ministry.
- Sharing the strategy
& practice of each persons ministry, program & vision.
- Brainstorming &
talking about practical ways to partner & serve together.
- Encouraging one
another.
- Laying out a vision
for Latin America and some simple steps to take as a group to move that
direction, supporting & encouraging different strategies & ministries,
but realizing that we can make an impact in the lives of young people
of Latin America.
